COMMON PURPOSE

We want to be a church united in purpose and vision. We want to collaborate with other churches in the City Centre to develop a mission and ministry strategy through which we can support each other and pray that the churches together can grow and flourish.

Church family: Worshipping God together is really important to us, treating each other as having worth and to that end we want to encourage more initiatives that are timely & relevant for families - events that both include congregation and outsiders. We want to encourage the development of relationships with nearby organisations, businesses and groups and we seek to contribute to the good of the city. Some key relationships are with the Walcot Street Traders Association, the Abbey Residents Association, Green Street businesses, the Hilton Hotel, Kingsmead Square, the Bell Inn and others.

Collaborate: We seek to draw closer to Bath Abbey as part of the Abbey Group and explore ways that we can both support and encourage each other in the work that we do. Can we develop a mission and ministry strategy for the City Centre? We want to continue to deepen and develop the relationships we have with Hay Hill Baptist Church, Nexus Methodist Church and connect with the regular City Centre prayer gatherings. We are open to new possibilities and creativity in collaboration with other churches.

Communication: We want to work more clearly on communication of all events in Church and to improve exterior notice boards and other forms of physical communication, with website/social media updated regularly and to that end need to make sure we have the paid or volunteer staff to do that work.
